Discount Drug Card

If you don't have insurance, you may still be able to save money by using a discount drug card.  They are free, and your pharmacist can help you use them.

  1. Print the page found here.
  2. Cut out one of the 9 cards.  (You can give the others to family members if you'd like)
  3. Check medication prices and participating pharmacies here.
  4. Bring the card to your local pharmacy.
  5. Buy your medication

You can save 20-75% off many generic medications, and there are no catches.

If you'd like to know more about this program, view the fact sheet or visit YourRxCard.com. Similar programs are available from other organizations.

How does it work?
These cards generally allow you to purchase drugs at rates insurance companies pay for them by negotiating lower prices.  The more people that use a specific card, the more negotiating power a company has.  However, unlike an insurance company, these programs pass the savings directly on to you.  Sometimes, they can be helpful for individuals with insurance as well.
